"You mean so much to our entire family" - Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika pens emotional message to Rahul Dravid
Indian captain Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh took to Instagram to bid farewell to the departing Indian head coach Rahul Dravid. The legendary batter decided against renewing his contract despite winning the 2024 T20 World Cup last month.
Ritika shared Rohit's emotional post for Dravid on her Instagram story and wrote how much Dravid would be missed by her family, especially by Rohit and Ritika's daughter Samaira.
Here's what Ritika wrote:
"So many emotions! You mean so much to our entire family. You will be missed so so much. I think Sammy (Samaira) will miss you most of all."

Rohit Sharma's emotional tribute to Rahul Dravid
Rohit Sharma took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 10, to express his gratitude about having worked for so long alongside Rahul Dravid. He explained he idolized Dravid as a cricketer while growing up and expressed how lucky he felt to have shared the dressing room with the former skipper.
Hailing Dravid for his humility, Rohit Sharma wrote:
"Since my childhood days I have looked up to you just like billions of others but I was lucky enough to get to work with you this closely. You are an absolute stalwart of this game but you left all of your accolades and achievements at the door and walked in as our coach and came on a level where we all felt comfortable enough to say just about anything to you."
Rohit also shed light on how happy he was about giving Dravid a send-off in the best possible way by winning an ICC trophy. India beat South Africa by seven runs in the T20 World Cup final to end the nation's 11-year-long wait for ICC silverware.
