Kieran Powell sends a warning, says: "We can beat anybody, anywhere"

Kieran Powell believes West Indies can win series against India

Kieran Powell replaced the injured Chris Gayle in the second ODI vs India and feels that West Indies has the potential to win the series.

Powell shared a 100-run partnership for the third wicket with Darren Bravo, which laid the foundation of a chase that was led to fruition by Darren Sammy with a cleverly paced half-century lower down the order.

“From being one down to level the series is obviously very crucial. We’re looking forward to winning the series in Kanpur,” Powell said ahead of the third and deciding ODI on Wednesday.

“We believe we can beat anybody anywhere in any conditions, but it’s just for us to put the pieces of the puzzle together now,” he added.

“We’ll be very confident after the win [in Visakhapatnam]. The momentum will be with us. Obviously, it will be a day game, so it will be totally different in terms of dew. We just have to assess the conditions and play accordingly,” Powell said.

Chasing a challenging target in the second ODI at Vizag, West Indies pulled off a thrilling two-wicket win with three balls to spare to level the series 1-1.
