The Netherlands beat Scotland in the tournament opener and will aim to continue it against an inexperienced Oman side to solidify their stance for the series title, while for Oman, this will be a do or die encounter, as they must win this clash to keep their title hopes alive. All these will be unveiled when both these nations clash in the third fixture of Oman Quadrangular Series 2019 at Al Amarat on Friday, February 15.

Netherlands

The Netherlands were flawless in the previous fixture and completely dominated Scotland with both the bat and ball. They first restricted the Scots at 153/7, then chased down the target comfortably with seven wickets to spare.

Batting

Tobias Visee displayed the best show of his career against Scotland and smashed 71 runs off 43 balls to set the tone for the magnificent chase. The opener certainly raised the bar of expectations and the team will expect him to replicate his show against Oman. While his opening partner Stephen Muburgh played a slow 24 run innings from 30 balls and he will be expected to make it better in the next outing.

Ryan ten Doeschate and Wesley Barresi are the backbone of Dutch middle order and made no mistake in the previous fixture to get them over the line. Both remained unbeaten in previous and will be crucial in case the Netherlands lose early wickets.

Bowling

Skipper Pieter Seelar was economical with figures of 1/19 and he will be eager to make things tough for Oman, while Fred Klaassen and Timm van der Gugten snared two wickets each. These two will be expected to play a similar role against Oman.

Oman tasted the reality of international cricket in the previous game and had no answers to the experience of Ireland. Despite restricting Ireland to 159/5, they failed to chase down the target and managed 144 in their quota of 20 overs.

Batting

Oman's chase was dented by regular strikes and most of their batsmen failed to convert their starts into decent ones. Though Jatinder Singh displayed his big-hitting skills in his short innings and scored 22 runs in 13 balls and the team will need him to make it better in next outing. While Mohammad Nadeem, Aamir Kaleem, and Khurram Nawaz are other men in the lineup, who can play big knock on their day.

Bowling

Fayyaz Butt was the pick of the lot with two wickets for just 19 runs while Ajay Lalcheta picked up a sole scalp of Andy Balbirine. These two along with Bilal Khan were not an easy hit for the Irish men in their opening fixture.
