Pakistan Super League 2020: List of retained and released players by franchises
Ahead of the player draft of Pakistan Super League 2020 on December 6, franchises revealed names of all the players retained and released by them. The fifth edition of PSL is scheduled between 14th February to 17th March, with Islamabad United playing Lahore Qalandars in the opening fixture. Quetta Gladiators are the competition as defending champions.
Current Pakistan T20I skipper Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz and former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi were some of the prominent Pakistan players that were part of the retained list. Alex Hales, Colin Munro, Carlos Braithwaite Shoaib Malik, Dawid Malan, and Dwayne Bravo were some of the players that were let go off by their respective franchises.
