Pakistan vs West Indies 3rd Test Stats: Kraigg Brathwaite's all-time Test record, Yasir Shah overtakes Ravichandran Ashwin
West Indies may have endured a horrendous tour after losing eight consecutive matches across all formats in the UAE against Pakistan but Kraigg Brathwaite ensured that the visitors ended their tour with a victory on the final day of the third Test.
Chasing 153 for victory, West Indies began the final day 39 shy of the target with Brathwaite and Shane Dowrich at the crease. After bowling out Pakistan for 208 on the fourth day it looked as though the visitors were going to cruise to victory but lost a heap of wickets after tea to end the day in a precarious position.
But Dowrich and Brathwaite both finished unbeaten on 60 as Jason Holder’s side won by five wickets but still lost the series 2-1.

0 – Brathwaite became the first opener to remain not out in both innings of a Test match. He was unbeaten on 142 in the first innings while he finished on 60* in the second to become the first opener to achieve this unique feat in the history of Tests.
1 – This is Jason Holder’s first win as West Indies’ Test captain. He joins Shivnarine Chanderpaul as the WI captain with the fewest win after 12 Tests.
3 – West Indies have only won three Tests away from home since 2000 against all Test nations apart from Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. They have played 76 away Tests and lost 56 of them.
58 – West Indies are now unbeaten in 58 matches while chasing targets below 200 in Tests. They have won 52 such games while drawing the other six.
118 – Since Yasir Shah's Test debut, no one has taken more Test wickets. In 19 Tests, Yasir has 116 scalps while Ravichandran Ashwin has 113 in 18 Tests since October 2014 when the leg spinner made his debut.
1990 – West Indies beat Pakistan away from home for the first time since 1990. This win after 26 years is their first away win against Pakistan since Faisalabad in 1990.
2004 – Chris Gayle was the last West Indies opener to score a century and fifty in an away Test against top eight Test team. Gayle did it against South Africa in Centurion, Brathwaite got it in this match.
2007 – The last time West Indies won a Test away from home against the top eight Test teams was in 2007 when they beat South Africa at Port Elizabeth. They finally managed an away Test win against a top-eight Test team after 7 years and 196 days.
