Pakistan's die-hard fan 'Chacha T20' demands apology from Ahmed Shehzad for inappropriate behaviour

Chacha T20 attends every Pakistan match in the UAE

Pakistan cricket’s die-hard fan in the UAE, Muhammad Zaman popularly known as ‘Chacha T20’, has demanded an apology from Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shehzad over his ill-tempered behaviour in the team hotel, reports Express Tribune.

Zaman has reportedly planned to stage a protest against the batsman, if he doesn’t apologise to him on time. Recalling the event, ‘Chacha T20’ said that Shehzad rudely told him to ‘get lost’ when the former approached him for a photograph. “We went to the hotel just to have a glimpse of Pakistan cricketers and for a chance to take a picture with them, It is normal routine for Pakistan fans to request the cricketers for pictures”, he said.

Finding only Shehzad in the hotel lobby, Zaman along with his friend’s nephew went towards the batsman in order to get a group photo but was in for a shock when Shehzad lost his cool and told them to get lost. “I requested him for a picture with my friend’s nephew but he rudely told us to get lost”, he reportedly said.

Shehzad even went the distance and called Zaman a liar, a conspirator and threatened him of serious consequences. This sudden, unprovoked behaviour from the Pakistani batsman, surprised Chacha, and he remarked that no Pakistani cricketer had ever resorted to this kind of behaviour before.

Shehzad underplays incident, Chacha speaks understandingly

Zaman feels that Shehzad may have mistaken him for a bunch of fans who had earlier in the day passed lewd comments and booed him on the field during play.

“Earlier in the day, some supporters in the ground were hooting at Shehzad and passing on comments on him and I spoke to them and refrained them from showing such behaviour. Shehzad was also looking at me at that time and maybe he thought that I was behind those spectators”, he felt.

Chacha further said that as a fan, the behaviour of Shehzad had hurt his sentiments and he requested the management of the board to tender an apology from the cricketer. Speaking to the same newspaper, Shehzad denied the altercation with the fan and said that the incident was being blown out of proportion. The opener said he had politely told Zaman that he had to get back to his room because it was late in the night.

This isn’t the first time that the Pakistan opening batsman has been in the limelight. Shehzad is known for his aggressive nature both on and off the field on many occasions and has constantly gotten into trouble with opposition, fans and even his teammates.
