A People’s XI for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 was announced recently. The team includes 5 batsmen, 2 all-rounders, 1 wicket-keeper and 3 bowlers. Virat Kohli is the only Indian player to feature in the side which was selected by thousands of people from across the world.
South Africa and Australia dominate the team with three players each. Sri Lanka have two players, with New Zealand, India, Bangladesh with one player each.
Shakib Al Hasan and James Faulkner are the two all-rounders in the team, with Lasith Malinga, Dale Steyn, Mitchell Johnson the three bowlers in the side.
