New Zealand drop out of form opener Peter Fulton for 2nd Test against West Indies
After a continued run of poor performances, 35-year-old New Zealand batsman Peter Fulton has finally got the axe.
The struggling right-handed opener has been dropped for the 2nd Test against West Indies and replaced by Hamish Rutherford in a 12-man squad for the Test, which starts tomorrow.
Left-arm pacer Neil Wagner has also been added to the playing XI that won the first Test in Kingston last week.
Fulton has been dropped from the squad following a string of poor performances in domestic and international cricket. Now, Rutherford and Tom Latham will open the batting for the Black Caps.
The second Test starts tomorrow at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
