Play resumes on fourth day of third India-Windies Test

St. Lucia, Aug 12 (IANS) Play resumed on the fourth day of the third Test between India and the West Indies on Friday after heavy rains on Thursday washed out the entire day's game at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium here.

Though the first session was to start 30 minutes early to make up for the loss of a whole day, the officials decided to stick to the schedule time after umpires inspected the ground to check if it was dry and fit to resume play.

In reply to India's 353 in the first innings, West Indies resumed their first innings under bright sunshine from Wednesday's score of 107/1 in 47 overs, with opener Kraigg Brathwaite (53) and one-down Darren Bravo (18) at the crease.

According to the revised hours of play, the last session has been extended for bowling eight overs more in addition to the mandatory 90 overs for the day.
