Praveen Kumar's gold chain stolen from Vidarbha Cricket Stadium in Nagpur
Discarded Indian medium-pacer Praveen Kumar’s gold chain was reportedly stolen from the dressing room of the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) stadium in Nagpur. The cost of the chain is estimated to be Rs 8 lakh. The 28-year-old was in the city to play a match versus Rajasthan in the Vijay Hazare trophy.
Praveen had left the 250-gram chain on one of the chairs in the dressing room before taking the field for Uttar Pradesh. The incident in question occurred on Monday evening, and a complaint was filed the following day.
"After the match, Kumar went straight to the hotel but later realised that he had forgotten to collect the gold chain from the dressing room. He immediately informed the VCA officials about it. However, a search by them proved futile," police said.
VCA President Prakash Dixit later confirmed the news and said that an investigation into the matter was on.
