Pujara looking forward to tour of South Africa
Cheteshwar Pujara is looking forward to the series against South Africa this December. Cheteshwar Pujara has played 13 test matches so far and has scored four centuries which includes two double centuries, one against England and the other against Australia. He is the second fastest player to score 1000 runs in test cricket for India.
Pujara said, “I have played in South Africa in 2010, so I have the exposure of playing there. I know what to expect from the South African bowlers and wickets. I have some plans and will prepare accordingly. The team will also have some plans to counter the conditions there. In 2010, when Gary Kirsten was our coach, we had a decent South Africa tour where we tied the series. I hope we will be able to win the series this time.”
He also added that he is trying to improve on the limited formats of the game and hoping to make his ODI debut soon. Pujara also gave a green signal to ICC’s decision to introduce Test Championship which will replace the 50-over Champions Trophy.
