Rahul Gandhi praises perseverance of cricketer Priya Punia, her father

New Delhi, Dec 30 (PTI) Congress president Rahul Gandhi Sunday lauded the perseverance and strong will of cricketer Priya Punia and her father, wishing her success.

In a Facebook post, he said success required perseverance and both she and her father had it in abundance.

"It was wonderful to read about your journey Priya and that of your strong-willed father... All the best," he said.

He also shared a media report about Punia's journey to the India's T20 squad which is to tour New Zealand.

The article claimed that her father had built a cricket ground for her training after selling property and taking loans in Rajasthan
