Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra admits betting in IPL matches
IPL spot-fixing row is getting messier, as yet another shocking revelation comes to the forefront. Delhi Police Commissioner, Neeraj Kumar released a statement that Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra has admitted to betting in the IPL.
Neeraj Kumar said, “Kundra was called because we got to know he was involved in betting. Kundra admitted that he was into betting.”
Kumar added that Kundra even placed bets on matches of his team Rajasthan Royals through his business partner Umesh Goenka. The police said Kundra suffered huge losses due to betting.
Kumar also said that the fact that Kundra is a British national doesn’t affect the investigation. Raj Kundra was allowed to leave for Mumbai on Wednesday only after Delhi Police seized his passport. Kundra has been asked not to leave the country as of now.
