Defending champions Mumbai celebrate after winning the 41st Ranji title

The 2016-17 edition of Ranji Trophy is set to begin in a couple of days’ time as the defending champions Mumbai look to win their record 42nd title. This season’s Ranji Trophy will be challenging as all the matches will be played at neutral venues.

Chattisgarh will be making their Ranji Trophy debut this season as the Mohammad Kaif-led team is set to make an appearance in the tournament for the first time. With the tournament fast approaching, the teams are sweating out in order to taste success.

On paper, Karnataka, Mumbai, Baroda and Uttar Pradesh look strong while Tamil Nadu go into the tournament as the dark horses. Let us take a look at the squad of all the 28 teams taking part in this year’s Ranji Trophy.
