Ranji Trophy, Fourth round, Day 3 Round-up: Yuvraj Singh and Stuart Binny score spectacular hundreds; Delhi on the brink of victory
Yuvraj Singh was back to his best as he smashed his way to an unbeaten 179 on the 3rd day of the 4th round of fixtures of the Ranji trophy. Despite Yuvraj’s 179, Manan Vohra was the star of the innings as he scored a double hundred. The current partnership between Yuvraj and Vohra is 224 runs.
As Punjab finished the day with 452 runs on the board, they are only 77 runs behind Baroda’s total.
With the final day of play set to take place tomorrow, Punjab will be looking to get a healthy lead against their opponents and acquire the vital point from the game.

A Gautam Gambhir led Delhi will be looking to achieve victory over Odisha tomorrow as the latter ended the day 149 runs behind Delhi with only 6 wickets in hand in the 2nd innings.
Ishant Sharma took 2 crucial wickets to dismiss the Odisha openers while Manan Sharma and V Tokas picked up a wicket each to put Delhi in control of the match.
Earlier in the day, Delhi declared their innings with 495 runs on the board with the loss of 8 wickets. Milind Kumar was the 2nd Delhi batsman to score a century after Gambhir’s sensational knock of 147 yesterday.

Stuart Binny had a point to prove to the national selectors with his scintillating knock of 156 off 158 deliveries with 17 fours and 3 huge sixes.
Beginning their day at 223-2, Karnataka went on to post a huge total of 570 with the loss of 9 wickets. Robin Uthappa and Karun Nair continued from where they left off yesterday as they scored 128 and 145 respectively.
After their dismissal, Binny took the attack to the Assamese bowlers and helped Karnataka amass their huge total. Assam ended the day 197 runs behind Karnataka with 9 wickets in hand.

Washington Sundar picked up 2 wickets while Aswin Crist and Aushik Srinivas picked up a wicket each. Earlier in the day, Tamil Nadu declared their innings after getting 555 runs on the board with the loss of 7 wickets.
