Karnataka's Mayank Agarwal sent a stern message to the selectors after a dazzling double-century with the bat on Day 2. He put on a 259 run partnership along with Ravikumar Samarth, who scored a century as well. Karnataka ended the day firmly on top, 216 runs ahead of Maharashtra.
In the other matches, Delhi ended the day 63 runs behind Uttar Pradesh as Gautam Gambhir notched up 86 runs.
Meanwhile, Indian discard Ambati Rayudu scored a magnificent century as Hyderabad amassed 474 runs in the first innings.

Cheteshwar Pujara's continued his dream run with the bat as he scored yet another double-century. By doing so, he broke the record for scoring the most number of double centuries (12) by an Indian in first-class cricket.
The notable performances from the other matches include Piyush Chawla, who picked up four wickets, thus helping Gujarat earn a first-innings lead against Haryana.
Jammu and Kashmir were not able to capitalise on their bowling performance, as they themselves for bowled out for a low total, thus giving away a first-innings lead to Kerala.

After Prithvi Shaw's century on the first day, Mumbai managed to score only 289 runs in the first innings. They ended the day with 58 runs on the board with the loss of three wickets.
Baroda continues from where they left off on day 1 and continued to take the attack to the Tripura bowling line-up, thus amassing 521 in the first innings.
In the other match, Harpreet Singh Bhatia's 88 run knock paved the way for Madhya Pradesh reaching a respectable total of 319. In response, Andhra Pradesh ended the day 144 runs behind.
