India defeated Australia 2-1 in the recently concluded Test series. It was a historic win as it was the first ever series win for the Indian team in Australia, since the time India started touring Australia 71 years back.

One of the biggest strength of this Indian team is their bowling and we don't get to see it often that the. India's bowling unit was better than Australia and every bowler played his part in the huge success. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ishant Sharma were all brilliant throughout the series.

Kuldeep Yadav deserves a special mention here. Brought into the team only for the fourth Test, he hit his strides quickly. Kuldeep Yadav is one of those spinners who has impressed almost everytime he has the ball in his hands and that continued in this series as well.

He recorded the bowling figures of five for 99 in the fourth Test match of the series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He troubled the Australian batsmen throughout the game and never allowed them to settle.

In an interaction with India TV after the historic win, Indian Team's Head Coach Ravi Shastri praised Kuldeep Yadav's performance and almost confirmed his position in the playing XI for the upcoming 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England.

The coach told, “Kuldeep comes into the mix big time now (in the World Cup and he might be in every Indian XI that plays (in the World Cup) because he has the advantage of being a wrist spinner. We might need to choose between the other two finger spinners because playing wrist spinner now is the priority because of the edge that they have during the game.”
