Ravichandran Ashwin engages in banter on Twitter; makes fun of bowlers in age of 400+ par scores

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin had an interesting exchange with a journalist on Wednesday, which ended with him making a self-deprecating joke on bowlers who had chosen their craft in an unfortunate time of high scores.

Ashwin, who is a keen student of the game and a follower of cricket matches everywhere, was disappointed not to be able to watch the ongoing New Zealand vs Australia ODI, where Martin Guptill had launched on a typical carnage.

Ashwin commented that he expected a 400+ game at Auckland from the look of early stages of the game, at which the journalist joked on Ashwin resisting turning into a batsman when bowlers around the world were being pounded.

Ashwin agreed that turning into a batsman would be a logical step. He continued the joke, saying that bowlers are either too fond of their art or too bad batsmen and thus are forced to become bowlers.

He himself is surely of the former kind.
