The Indian Premier League has come a long way since its inception in 2008.The League is currently now in its 11th edition and has witnessed a plethora of path-breaking changes and innovations on and off the field.

This year we have already witnessed a multitude of records being broken, most prominent being Rahul's fastest fifty in the history of the IPL (50 off 13 balls), and Rashid Khan's feat of bowling the most number of dot balls in an innings (18).

However, there are still a plethora of records from the opening season of the IPL that are yet to be broken. In this blog today, let us go down memory lane to recollect some of the records that are yet to be broken to date.

#4 Most number of catches by a fielder in an innings

During the encounter between Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2008 edition of the Indian Premier League, the then MI skipper Sachin Tendulkar recorded four catches as an outfielder.

Tendulkar accounted for Salman Butt, Wriddiman Saha, Shoaib Akhtar and Ajit Agarkar. While David Warner in 2010 and Jacques Kallis in 2011 equaled the Master Blaster's record, it is yet to break to date.
