5 players who can replace Chris Lynn

Lynn is injured yet again

Chris Lynn dislocated his right shoulder during the tri-series final against New Zealand, and didn't play any further part in the game. He opted out of the Pakistan Super League due to the injury which looks quite serious. The Australian opener had issues with his right shoulder in the past, and missed a lot of matches due to the same. He also missed most parts of the IPL last year due to his dislocated shoulder which he acquired in a game against the Mumbai Indians.

Chris Lynn is one of the biggest hitters in the IPL and can change the course of the game if he stays for any length of time. KKR retained him in this year's IPL with the help of Right To Match card (RTM), and a lot of their hopes will rest on him. If he fails to make it to the IPL this year, it will be a big blow for the Knights as their bench strength is not the best in this year's IPL.

A like-to-like replacement for him is not entirely possible, but these players can create an impact at the top of the order:

#5 Kusal Perera

England v Sri Lanka - 1st ODI Royal London One-Day Series 2016
Perera is an explosive opener

The left-handed opening batsman from Sri Lanka got some brisk starts at the top of the order in recent past. He is a player in the mould of Sanath Jayasurya who is severe to anything which is pitched short of length, and can take full toll of the first six overs of field restrictions.

Being a player from the sub-continent, he is an exceptional player of spin bowling which will help him get runs in Indian conditions. He played some breathtaking cameos at the top of the order at home as well as away from home. He is a stand and deliver kind of player who can take the game to the opposition and can demoralize any bowling attack on his day.
