Former India batsman Virender Sehwag, known for his hilarious tweets, has made another funny comment regarding Indian Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik. The Olympian tweeted that she wants to meet Virender Sehwag and also asked him the time of the meeting according to the latter’s convenience. Within moments of the tweet, the ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ replied saying that he would be pleased to meet the Bronze medallist but on one condition that the Olympic medalist should not start wrestling with Sehwag.

Sure ,will let you know the time. Hope you won't start wrestling with me, Sakshi https://t.co/XTau8YTnEd— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) August 25, 2016

During the Olympics, the only Indian triple-centurion was active on Twitter and was even quick to give a witty reply to Indian Novelist Shobhaa De who posted a controversial tweet about the Indian contingent at the Games earlier this month. When Sakshi Malik won the Bronze medal at Rio, Sehwag posted a picture of her with the comment.

Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity.— Shobhaa De (@DeShobhaa) August 8, 2016

Virender Sehwag is one of the most successful Test batsmen the country has ever produced, having scored more than 8,000 runs each in Tests and ODIs. His most memorable innings is definitely the 309 runs which he scored in Multan, during India’s historic tour of Pakistan in 2004.

Known for his hard-hitting abilities as well as equally wonderful stroke-play, he had the ability to demolish any bowling line-up single handed. One of the most popular figures in the Indian cricket team for a decade, Sehwag is a favourite among players from other countries as well.

In contrast to the above-mentioned sports person, many people came to know about Sakshi Malik during the recently concluded Rio Olympics. It proves how much cricket dominates Indian sports over others.

Apart from Sehwag, the Haryana-born wrestler was greeted by many on her return to India. Indian Airlines offered her return business class tickets between any two destinations on their entire Air India network for a period of 1 year, while Mahindra and Mahindra rewarded her with a “Thar”, a car manufactured by them.

A few days back, British journalist Piers Morgan made a comment regarding the Indian contingent which was uncalled for and social media erupted and so did Virender Sehwag. He gave a spontaneous reply and defended his homeland, just like he saved India in cricket matches throughout his career.

Sehwag, later, posted a picture of his meeting with Sakshi Malik.

Great meeting @SakshiMalik .She did not wrestle, and so I comfortably congratulated her for making the country proud. pic.twitter.com/n4JQBGxpVw— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) August 26, 2016
