MS Dhoni will captain the side. Well, this man needs no introduction. He is the most successful captain in IPL and is one of the most successful captains in International Cricket. He has won many laurels for his previous team – Chennai Super Kings. He will be looking to do the same here as well.
They have some extraordinary overseas batsman such as Francois du Plessis, Kevin Pietersen, and Steve Smith. These players are very handy in T20 cricket.
Adam Zampa from Australia is having a decent WT20 2016; he will be hoping that this would continue into the IPL. This team also has some prominent Indian players with Ravichandran Ashwin, Ashok Dinda, Ishant Sharman, and Irfan Pathan filling up the ranks.
Stephen Fleming reunites with MS Dhoni as the head coach for Rising Pune Supergiants.
Pune’s side is formidable. Anything less than a play-off spot should be a disappointment for Pune. If the tide is right for them, they might sail towards victory in IPL 2016.
