Hope Uthappa gets a chance to play for India - Suresh Raina
Indian batting star, Suresh Raina hailed Robin Uthappa, who’s currently at the second spot in the list of Orange Cap holders in the ongoing IPL. As Kolkata Knight Riders’ opening batsman, Uthappa has scored 489 runs for his team out of the 12 matches that they have played so far. Uthappa, who has been in a trememdous form, has played a number of match winning knocks for his team; thereby keeping their hopes of reaching the pay-offs alive.
"He is batting really well. He is hitting the ball well. I hope he continues like that and hopefully he gets a chance to play for India as well," Raina told IPL's official website.
The 27 year old Raina hopes for Uthappa to make his return to team India, as the latter last appeared in Indian colors on March 30, 2012.
"He is in good form right now and most importantly there are some very important series coming up after the IPL and he is in good nick. He hasn't played for some time for India, and I wish him all the best and hope he makes it to the Indian team and performs well for India too," Raina concluded.
