Rohit Sharma's six-hitting ability is well known to all cricket fans. He is currently one of the consistent six-hitter in international cricket who can clear boundaries at wish. He holds the world record for smashing most international sixes in last two years. The stand-in captain also holds the record for hitting most international sixes against an opponent who also broke Chris Gayle’s record in the Australia series.

Today, when he smashed the second six against New Zealand, he completed 100 sixes in T20I international thus makes him first Indian to join the list along with Martin Guptill and Chris Gayle.

The Mumbai based cricketer made his T20I debut against England but played his first innings against South Africa in 2007 T20I who also scored his first ever six in the same innings. As we all know he didn't have a great start to international cricket and everything changed only after he started to open the innings from 2013. It took almost 9 years for him to complete 50 sixes in T20 Internationals.

He smashed his 50th T20I six against West Indies on 27th Aug 2016. Since then, there has been no looking back for the stand-in Indian captain as he kept on breaking the records. On 14th March 2018 against Bangladesh, he smashed five sixes thus breaking the Yuvraj Singh’s record of most sixes for India in T20I history. The Punjabi left-hander held that record with 74 sixes for a long time.

Though it almost took 9 years for him to smash 50 sixes in T20I it didn't take much time for him to reach next 50 sixes as it came in just three years. Now he is just two sixes away from becoming the highest six hitter in T20 history. During today's game, Rohit Sharma also became the leading run scorer and smashed most fifty plus runs in T20 Internationals. The T20I star already has the record for scoring most centuries in T20I too. With galore of records, he has already become a limited over cricket legend and a key player for India in 2019 World Cup.
