However, as there is no confirmation on the news of the death of his daughter from the cricket fraternity so it implies that the reports are fake. Facebook pages had also posted the picture of the child wrapped in white cloth with red rose petals on her body, which was not Afridi’s daughter.

Shahid Afridi, who is going through a terrible phase in his career right now, will definitely not be pleased at the circulation of the false news. Recently, he posted a picture from a hotel in Makkah where he is staying to offer Umrah.

Afridi resigned from the post of Pakistan’s T20 captain following his side’s lacklustre performances in the Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup 2016. Pakistan failed to qualify for the knock-out stages of the world cup and to add to his woes, they lost to India in both the tournaments.

About his retirement, the flamboyant Pakistan all-rounder, however, has chosen to remain tight-lipped and following Pakistan’s ouster from the World T20, speaking to Harsha Bhogle and Wasim Akram, Afridi did not reveal any news about his retirement and mentioned he will take the decision at home.
