Bengal and Mumbai fighting over hosting Sachin's 200th Test match
After West Indies accepted the proposal to tour India, in the month of November, it is now being reported that Mumbai Cricket Association and Cricket Association of Bengal are embroiled in a tiff over who would get to host the iconic player’s historic 200th test match.
It was earlier reported that Sachin Tendulkar might play his 200th Test match in India which has now been confirmed and the two Indian cities’ cricket association are fighting over the bragging rights for the player’s historic 200th test.
“More than 70,000 fans can watch the 200th Test match here in the city and most importantly, Sachin has a huge fan following in Kolkata,” a CAB official said backing their claim and suggesting Eden Garden host the match.
While a senior BCCI official said, “Going by the BCCI’s rotation policy, it is MCA’s turn to host a Test and more than anyone, Tendulkar deserves to play his 200th Test in front of his home crowd”.
It still remains to be seen as to which city would host, possibly, the Cricket Legend’s last match of his elaborate career.
