Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan reappeared on the first episode of this year’s Satyamev Jayate yesterday. The episode focussed on the importance of sports in our lives. The actor stressed on the need to make sports a part of school curriculum all across the nation.

Aamir urged educational authorities to properly create a framework by which sports could be integrated into formal education just like any other subjects. Also known as Mr. Perfectionist, he fears that the popularity of indoor games could have a negative impact among children. Playing indoor games only, could badly affect the physical and psychological growth of the children. The veteran actor cited several reasons regarding the necessity to play outdoor games for students.

Aamir felt that playing outdoor games like cricket, football and rugby among others is the best way to make friends and socialise with the society around us.

Last year, when Tendulkar was awarded the Bharat Ratna, he became the first sportsperson to receive India’s top civilian award. Ever since, the master batsman has been championing the cause of promoting cricket and other sports in India.

The 41-year-old retired from all forms of cricket last November but he kept his focus clear. He aims to make India the next sporting hub of the world. The ace batsman is now busy cheering for Kerala Blasters in the upcoming football extravaganza - Indian Super League.
