Sachin Tendulkar celebrates birthday by playing street cricket with children

Sachin Tendulkar turns 43 today 

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar turns 43 today. The former cricketer retired from international cricket in 2013 but not before registering a number of the batting records to his name.

The Master Blaster has always provided hope and cheer to the billions of his fans whenever he has gone out to the pitch. On the eve of his 43rd birthday, he celebrated the day in a very special way. The ‘Master Blaster’ played street cricket with school children from the “Make-A-Wish India” foundation at the M.I.G Cricket Club in Mumbai.

He posted this on his official Facebook page.

Tendulkar scored 15921 runs in 200 Test matches and 18426 runs in 463 ODIs. He is also the only cricketer in history to have hit 100 international centuries.

Several personalities from the sporting fraternity also wished the little master on the occasion of his birthday.

His former teammate and veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted.

Labelling Tendulkar as his role model, India batsman Ajinkya Rahane tweeted.

Indian boxer and Olympic medalist Vijender Singh also wished the living legend on social media.

His former Test captain and teammate Anil Kumble also wished him on Twitter.   

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Anurag Thakur posted this on social media.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra also tweeted.
