BCCI to let Sachin Tendulkar decide venue for 200th Test match
All the rumours pertaining to the stadium that is going to host the ‘historic’ 200th Test of Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar can be put to rest now.
According to NDTV, the BCCI have taken the step to allow Sachin Tendulkar himself to decide on the issue. Cricket Association of Bengal and Mumbai Cricket Association were keen on hosting the match, and were frontrunners to bag it. However, with the decision now in Sachin’s hands, Mumbai looks likely, as it is his home town.
Also commenting on the issue was former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.
“It would be the biggest thing if Tendulkar gets to play the 200th Test in Mumbai purely on emotional grounds. He has all his friends and family members there,” Ganguly said on Tendulkar.
