This will be the first time that he will be working in this part of the world. We will work with the best in the business for the film to be a fitting tribute to the unparalleled achievements of Sachin Tendulkar.” He added that the movie will feature "never seen before facets and footage" on Tendulkar.

A lot of footage is being collected from cricket boards across the world for the movie by the company. “Someone had to capture these memories for the generations to come who will want to know what the Tendulkar-era was like,” Ravi said.

Sachin has appeared on the big screen in the past. He had a cameo role in Stumped (2003). But this is slated to be his biggest presence on the silver screen till date. Sachin enjoys godlike popularity in India with a devout, religious following. The movie will be released in over 2000 theaters worldwide.
