Satire: Ishant Sharma's transformation complete
The man with long hair, Ishant Sharma is a national hero today. National hero of Australia. Everyone there hated him after his ferocious spell against Ponting. It looked like he will be a bowler to be feared. And just when he was destined to become a legend, an Australian fan prayed.
“Please make Ishant worse than Agarkar “
Well, for a change, God did answer his request. He did not make him worse immediately, but gradually. Slowly, he lost his bounce, his swing, his seam movement, and finally, he is just a bowler. Bowler who delivers the ball to the batsman’s bat, and batsman dispatches it without hesitation. The transformation from a world class bowler, to a bowler who balls juicy half volleys and length balls at the wrong time, has been tidy and un-noticable.
And the transformation came to a full effect today.
Dhoni was a man on a mission. After being called selfish for “n” no of times by his haters, today finally he had the opportunity to shut them up. And he nearly did! After pulling off an absolute blunder, he was a happy man. Happy that he won the game for India from a near impossible situation. But that was until the 48th over.
What Dhoni didn’t know was 2 things.
1. Ishant Sharma’s over in the Champions Trophy finals was a miracle.
2. Miracles do not happen every day.
He gave the 48th over to Ishant. And lo! His incredible innings will be overshadowed, yet again.

That was what it took to make a wide smiling Dhoni to a poker faced one. He must have been thinking
“Why the hell did I give the ball to him?”
And that is exactly the thought of fans all around India. A collection of jokes are circulating on the internet, which includes people prefering to shoot him twice rather than use those two bullets on Justin Beiber or Robert Pattinson.
People even warn him to say away from Virat Kohli, who is definitely remembering Ishant’s relatives a lot.
While people demand his retirement immediately, BCCI has plans for him.
“We will made Ishant play against India for Sachin’s 200th test ” , a BCCI member said to the media.
Meanwhile spies also report to saying that he received calls from two persons- Agarkar and Nehra. While it is informed that Nehra cried out of happiness for his achievement, Agarkar was also happy- happy because people will rather remember Ishant’s terrible bowling than his 5 golden duck streak.
From deadly inswinging balls to juicy half volleys, Ishant has finally transformed. Transformed according to that fan’s wish. Infact, more than what he wished for. While he asked to make him ball worse than Agarkar’s bowling, God made him bowl worse than Agarkar’s batting during that golden streak. Definitely, God exists. And so does Ishant Sharma, against all of the India’s wishes.
