Satire: No reprieve for Aussies as new homework assigned to players

Micky Arthur has persisted with his tried and tested technique of assigning ‘Homework’.

Australian coach Mickey Arthur has reportedly asked the entire Australian team to prepare another presentation to delineate what went wrong in the third day of the second Test here at Mohali. Even though many, many, many ex-players have expressed their criticism of Mickey after the Homework-gate scandal, he has decided to go on with the ‘homework policy’.

Even though Mickey remained unavailable for comment, Clarke did show up. “As Dhawan was not in the playing eleven for the last two Tests, nobody had bothered to do any kind of homework on him. Nevertheless, all the team members have been asked to prepare their presentations for today’s debacle and the approach to be adopted for tomorrow, with at least one slide focussing on him. I have already received some interesting feedback from some of the players”, said a visibly relieved Clarke. He didn’t divulge any further, but Steven Smith accidentally made a faux pas when he said that he intended to continue bowling full tosses to Dhawan, confident that at some point he would laugh so hard that he would double up, and fall on the stumps.

Moises Henriques has been exempted from making any presentation, after he promised to regrow his moustache on the lines of the one that Dhawan has. Dhawan meanwhile has been roped in by the makers of the Bollywood flick ‘Lootera’ for promotional campaigns after they found his moustache better than that of Ranveer. He is also believed to have given his nod to act in its sequel, replacing Ranveer.

Mitchell Starc, it is reported, will only have to present a small report on whether he wanted to continue as a bowler or play as a batsman, much like Jadeja in reverse, who bowls much better than the specialist bowlers in the Indian team, but has not been able to score even 10% of the triple centuries he boasts of in the domestic circuit. Clarke has been asked to revise his previous presentation after he had erroneously mentioned Jadeja as a batsman.

Finally, some good news for Arthur. If rumours are to be believed, he has been approached by Microsoft group to be the official face of Microsoft Office. They have also launched a new PowerPoint theme on mickey mouse as a token of gratitude for Arthur, which shows an error whenever you type in ‘Watson’ or ‘Watto’. Watson remained unavailable for comment.
