Satire: Who's the greatest? Chris Gayle or Ravindra Jadeja?
Some said it is like comparing a Ferrari to a Tata Nano. Others said it’s like Mr. Bean fighting The Great Khali inside a wrestling ring. But it did turn out to be more than just a close contest. Ravindra Jadeja and Chris Gayle went one on one in a verbal combat to find out who’s the greatest among the two legends (legends for totally different reasons though).
Chris Gayle: I can hit a six longer than anybody else can. Can you?
Ravindra Jadeja: Haha! Chal Hatt! If I’m the bowler, even Billy Bowden can hit a six longer than you can ever imagine.
Chris Gayle: Go to Twitter and check out the number of fans I have. You’ll accept defeat.
Ravindra Jadeja: Go to Google and type ‘jokes on Ravindra Jadeja’. And compare the number of results with your number of fans. You’ll be embarrassed.
Chris Gayle: Scoring a century in a T20 is like changing my underpants. Happens every other day.
Ravindra Jadeja: I don’t like to change your underpants. I’ll give this a pass.
Chris Gayle: I can do things like the Gangnam Style and entertain the crowd mann.
Ravindra Jadeja: People do the Gangnam Style when they look at me. You decide who wins this round.
Chris Gayle: I am tall dark and handsome. Girls love me. You?
Ravindra Jadeja: I am 2 million dollars ‘tall’, CSK ‘dark’ horse and I hand-them-some more.
Chris Gayle: I am so good that even my national cricket board can’t hate me for long. They silently agree to my demands.
Ravindra Jadeja: I am no good, but still my cricket board picks me for every series. I don’t even need to demand anything.
Chris Gayle: I can wear local $1 pink shades and still make them a fashion statement.
Ravindra Jadeja: I can chop my hair by mistake, convert it into a CSK cut and and still make a better fashion statement than you.
Chris Gayle: I’ve made many great bowlers lose confidence and retire from the game.
Ravindra Jadeja: After getting to know that I’ll now be a regular in the Indian side, my own teammate and cricket’s biggest legend Sachin Tendulkar retired . Beat that!
Chris Gayle: When I hit the ball high and hard, people confuse it for a shooting star.
Ravindra Jadeja. Ah! We are back to square one. When I get hit, people confuse the ball for a meteor. It just happened in Russia the other day.
Chris Gayle: I had scored a hundred in a club game before reaching 5th grade.
Ravindra Jadeja: Technically, I still haven’t reached fifth grade as I never went to school. And, I’ve hit triple centuries in first class games. In your face!
Chris Gayle: I am the most destructive opener in world cricket. And you?
Ravindra Jadeja: Bowlers like me make destructive openers like you. Stop taking all the credit. Accept defeat.
Chris Gayle: Amen!
