IPL 2015: Shahrukh Khan not allowed in Wankhede for Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Actor Sharukh Khan will not be allowed to enter inside Wandkhede Stadium to witness crucial Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match on May 14.
Sharukh was ban for 5 years from entering Wankhede Stadium following the brawl with Maharashtra Police people in 2012.
“No, he will not be allowed as the ban continues,” said an official of the Mumbai Cricket Association, which banned him for five years from entering their premises, including the Wankhede Stadium, after the actor was involved in an ugly skirmish with security staff and officials of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) following KKR’s victory over MI on May 16, 2012 at the stadium.
However, Sharukh will be allowed to witness the KKR match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The stadium is adopted home ground of RR which is owned by another BCCI affiliate - Cricket Club of India (CCI) - and is just a stone’s throw away from the Wankhede Stadium. RR will host KKR on May 16.
RR has been allotted the stadium by CCI for their last three home games of this season. The 2008 champions had played their first four home games at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.
