Shane Warne picks his greatest Australia ODI & Test XI over the last 25 years
Shane Warne has picked his Australian Test & ODI XI featuring the best players over the past 25 years. The spin wizard chose Allan Border as the captain of his team for both formats while he had no hesitation in including himself as a part of both teams.
The 45-year-old announced his selections on his official Facebook page and added that he would be coming out with an England XI as well as a combined Ashes XI side in the coming days.
Picking a team over a 25-year-period is no mean feat especially when it is regarding Australia who have been by far the best team in both formats over the said period. One of the most glaring omissions though is that of Steve Waugh, with one of Australia’s greatest ever captains failing to make either side. There was also no place in the Test team for Justin Langer or Mark Taylor while Damien Martyn missed out on the ODI side.
The players to feature in both teams apart from Border and Warne himself are Ricky Ponting, Mark Waugh, Adam Gilchrist and Glenn Mcgrath.
Warne’s greatest Australian ODI XI (since 1990)

Warne’s greatest Australian Test XI (Since 1990)
