Shannon Gabriel replaces Sulieman Benn for the second Test
Legspinner Devandra Bishoo could well play his first Test since 2012 as the left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn has been dropped from the West Indies squad for the 2nd Test against England. He has been replaced by fast bowler Shannon Gabriel which has genuinely paved the way for Bishoo since he is now the only spinner in the squad.
Benn went wicketless in the 1st innings and then picked two in the second and went at almost four an over throughout the match. Bishoo forced his way into the national team after having a terrific season for domestic Champions Guyana (61 wickets in 10 matches).
West Indies squad: Denesh Ramdin (capt & wk), Kraigg Brathwaite (vc), Devendra Bishoo, Jermaine Blackwood, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Shannon Gabriel, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Kemar Roach, Marlon Samuels, Devon Smith, Jerome Taylor
The first Test ended in a draw as limited-overs skipper Jason Holder scored a fighting century on the last day to save his side.
