Should Sachin quit or not quit?
India is a country where cricket is a religion and Sachin is the God. And that God principle augurs well for the die hard Tendulkar fans and not for a cricket fan like me. Sachin Tendulkar is no God. He is a special batsman and has all the records under his name, that doesn’t mean he is God.
Sachin is the just a normal human being like you and me. So with age one cannot expect him to be the same. We have varied examples in this regard like Roger Federer,Tiger Woods to name a few. But in spite of their flaws they have continued to play their sport with determination.
Debates, discussions and arguments have been going on about when Sachin should quit playing cricket. Sachin is not new to criticism. Critics say that he should quit from all forms of cricket and not turn in to a liability for this team.
With his recent failures against New Zealand, the voices are getting louder and louder for his retirement. Here are some of the statistical figures that creates goosebumps in every cricket fan:

And also, he has achieved the biggest dream of any cricketer of winning the World Cup in the 50 over format.
Maybe he should quit playing limited overs cricket now that the team can win and has the capability to win major tournaments without the willow of Sachin Tendulkar.
Having said that I want him to still be there in the test team at least for a year or so. With the recent retirements of Dravid and Laxman, India is badly in need of a talisman with experience. And Sachin Tendulkar has loads of experience and is the right man to lead the young talents in the country like Virat Kohli, Pujara, Rohit Sharma and many more.
