Sister-in-Law Akanksha Sharma files domestic violence case against Yuvraj Singh and family
In a shocking development, 'Bigg Boss' contestant and Yuvraj Singh's sister-in-law Akanksha Sharma has filed a domestic violence case against the cricketer, his brother and Sharma's husband Zoravar Singh and their mother Shabnam Singh.
“Yes, Akanksha has filed a case of domestic violence against Yuvraj, Zoravar and their mother Shabnam,” Sharma's lawyer Swati Singh Malik was reported saying by Spoteboye.
Further expanding on what Yuvraj's involvement in the case is, the lawyer added, “Look, domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. Yuvraj was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother.
“When Yuvraj and Zoravar’s mother was pressurising Akanksha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told Akanksha ‘to have a baby’. He was hand-in-glove with his mother. Yuvraj would even tell her that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house. That lady is extremely dominant. Zoravar and Akanksha were at her mercy for every decision.”
Akanksha had accused Yuvraj and his mother for her separation with Zoravar
This is not the first time this case has come into the limelight. Earlier last year, when Akanksha was a part of the Bigg Bos show, she had accused Yuvraj and his mother for her separation with Zoravar. She had even added that she was ready for a divorce and that she doesn't want any alimony.
Yuvraj's mother Shabnam had then replied to the accusations saying, “First of all, this matter is sub judice and she (Akansha) is not allowed to speak. It goes under the contempt of court. There’s a special petition I had filed. Anyone can understand the agenda here and everybody knows it. We are not allowed to speak on this matter.”
On the other hand, Akanksha was also subject to a legal complaint from Shabnam, where Yuvraj's mother, most probably, stated that she wants to recover some of her jewellery. Sharma's lawyer stated on the matter, “This recovery could possibly be of some jewellery, it’s not of money.”
The hearing of the domestic violence case is expected to be held on 21st October and Akanksha has refused to make a statement before that. There has been no clarifications or statements made from Yuvraj's family as well.
