Six English bowlers to watch out for in the future
After a horrible Ashes series Down Under, England captain Joe Root needs to sort out the shortcomings of his bowling department as soon as possible. England's failure to defend the Ashes can largely be blamed on their inability to take 20 wickets in a Test match.
The lack of pace in their bowling attack has been a huge problem. But it's not all doom and gloom for England. There are some quick bowlers in the county circuit capable of delivering the goods.
Here are six English bowlers who could help the national side get back on track.
#1 George Garton (Sussex)
The 20-year-old left arm quick bowler from Sussex is an exciting prospect for the future. While he has taken only 23 wickets in First Class cricket and is far from being a Sussex regular, he impressed the selectors at the U-19 World Cup with England two years ago.
He has the ability to surprise batsmen with his fast arm action and speed which England desperately require now. He has huge potential and must look to produce results in the upcoming season. If that happens, we may see him playing for England in the near future.
