Slapstick: Gautam Gambhir admits to taking out his aggression on his toothbrush

This would not be a good time to be Gambhir’s toothbrush

Gautam Gambhir is a serious man. His seriousness is evident in his game, in how he carries himself and also in how he talks. However, one answer of his took everyone by surprise. On the chat show called 'What The Duck', Gambhir revealed that the worst victim of his aggression is his toothbrush.

"My mood depends on how I treat my toothbrushes. Being a skipper is a strenuous job, and when you are going through a rough phase, obviously you start taking out your frustration, you can't take it out on anyone, you can't take it out on your teammates or your wife. The only person that is left is your toothbrush," he said.

Kolkata Knight Riders are narrowly holding on to their chances of qualifying for the playoff stage, but need a victory in their last match. Andre Russell’s absence continues to be a sore thought in skipper Gambhir’s mind. One can assume his toothbrush is not going through very comfortable times now.

Gambhir has spoken about this relation with his toothbrush before, once having said that leaders need to inculcate a bit of madness to deal with tough situations, and that his toothbrush is what he takes out his madness on.
