South Africa vs India 2018: AB de Villiers confirmed to play pink ODI
A day after being added to South Africa's squad for the final three ODIs against India, a fully-fit AB de Villiers has been confirmed to play the fourth game at the Bullring.
In the pre-match presser, SA all-rounder Chris Morris confirmed that De Villiers was 'ready to go' and will be included in the playing XI of the injury-plagued side.
The 33-year-old missed the first three games of the ODI series following a finger injury that he sustained during the final Test of the recently concluded three-match series against India.
De Villiers has always seemed to have a likening for the 'pink ODI', an initiative that helps collect money for the Breast Cancer Clinic at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
His last five games at the Bullring fetched him the following scores:
128 (108) vs Pakistan, 2013
77 (47) vs India, 2013
149 (44) vs West Indies, 2015
36 (27) vs England, 2016
60* (61) v Sri Lanka, 2017
South Africa is already 3-0 down in the series, having been comprehensively outplayed by the visitors who gathered momentum with a victory in the final Test of the three-match series.
