As Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unprecedented announcement pertaining to the immediate scrapping of the Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 currency notes, the nation scrambled to the closest ATM. While the move caught the country off-guard, the Government felt the dramatic move was necessary to combat terror financing, corruption and black money.
As the news started to trickle in about the new Rs.500 and Rs.2,000 notes in circulation, people took to social media to express their views. Sports professional weren’t going to sit back and watch the moment pass.
