Sportskeeda partners with 'Cricket For a Cause'
Sportskeeda has been designated as the Official Online Media partner for ‘Cricket For a Cause’, a cricket community event to be organized in Chennai through the months of July and August 2013.
All proceeds from this event will go to Cancer Research and Relief Trust (http://crrt.org.in/) – a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cancer treatment. The event will be in the T20 format.
‘Cricket For a Cause’ is a concept that emerged when Sriram Krishnamurthy, Rajiv Anbazhagan, Shravan Krishnamurthy and Pradeep Mangapathy (the brains behind the project), got together with one of the founders of the Cancer Research and Relief Trust, Dr. S.G. Ramanan.
The tournament, which has already received support from several national and international cricketers, will have 12 schools and eight corporates from the city of Chennai participating.
The group intends ‘Cricket For a Cause’ to be a cancer awareness and fundraising initiative, revolving around cricketers and cricketing activities.
Noted former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath has already lent his support for the event along with Tamil Nadu and Chennai Super Kings player Abhinav Mukund.
“SportsKeeda are the Official Online Media partners while CricHQ are the Official Sports Technology Partners. For an event which is just in the first year, getting market leading brands to support us is a very encouraging sign” added Rajiv.
Impetus Analytic E- Solutions, a market research and analytics company will be the Official Awards Partner.
