SRH's 3 highest run-scorers vs MI
SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face Mumbai Indians (MI) in match number 69 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 21. While SRH are out of contention for a place in the playoffs, having won only four of their 13 matches, they can still have a say in the qualification battle.
If Hyderabad beat Mumbai Indians in the first match of the doubleheader on Sunday, they will not only register a consolation win but also knock MI out of the race for the playoffs. Five-time champions Mumbai are currently on 14 points from 13 games. Even if Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) go down to Gujarat Titans (GT) in the last league game, MI’s inferior net run rate of -0.128 will put them out of contention.
Speaking of the SRH vs MI clash, the two teams have taken on each other 20 times in the IPL, with Mumbai having a slender 11-9 lead in the head-to-head numbers. There have been some fine individual performances from both teams in Mumbai-Hyderabad contests.
On that note, we look at SRH's three highest run-scorers vs MI.
#3 Manish Pandey (215 runs)
Manish Pandey is at number three on the list. He played eight matches for SRH against MI, scoring 215 runs at an impressive average of 43 and a strike rate of 139.61.
The right-handed batter registered two half-centuries while representing SunRises Hyderabad against Mumbai Indians.
Pandey’s highest knock for SRH against MI came during the IPL 2019 edition when he hammered 71* off 47 balls at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. SRH were chasing 163 and Pandey’s excellent knock, which featured eight fours and two sixes, helped Hyderabad tie the game.
The right-handed batter’s valiant effort went in vain, though, as Mumbai Indians won the Super Over.
Pandey’s second fifty for SRH against MI came during the 2021 edition. In a match played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Hyderabad were set to chase a massive 236 for victory.
Mumbai won the game by 42 runs, but Pandey, captaining the team, scored 69* off 41 as Hyderabad responded with a respectable 193/8.

Current Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shikhar Dhawan is second on the list of leading run-getters for SRH against Mumbai.

Warner cracked five fifties for Hyderabad against Mumbai, with his best of 90* coming in the 2016 edition in Hyderabad. SRH were chasing 143 and Warner led the way with the bat, smacking seven fours and four sixes in a seven-wicket triumph.
