IPL 2016: Where to watch Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Daredevils
The 42nd Match of IPL 2016 will see the table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad engage the Delhi Daredevils who are at number four on the points table. As the tournament enters the last quarter of the group stage, every game becomes crucial in the hunt to qualify for the playoffs. This is the first time these two teams will take on each other this season. SRH are on a four-game winning streak whereas DD have lost their last two games after a good chunk of victories. Where SRH look almost certain to get a spot amongst the top 4, the Daredevils have still got a lot of work to do to achieve that.
The Match will be live from 20:00 IST, 2:30 GMT. Watch live streaming of SRH vs DD on www.starsports.com and www.hotstar.com. Mobile users can watch live streaming of SRH vs DD on the Hotstar App. You can also watch the live telecast of SRH vs DD on Sony ESPN, Sony ESPN HD, Sony Six, Sony Six HD, Sony Max. The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
This is going to be the last home game for SRH. They have won four of their previous six home games. Three out of the four victories have come chasing. They have been able to restrict the opposition to small totals and then chased them down with ease. They would love to finish the last home game on a winning note.
The highlight of SRH’s campaign has been their exceptional bowling, probably the best in the tournament. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur Rahman, Ashish Nehra and Barinder Sran have showcased that bowlers have a huge part to play in a T20 match. Not too many sides have been able to score big against them.
Bhuvneshwar and Mustafizur are amongst the top 5 leading wicket takers in the league. Both complement each other very well. One makes the new ball talk while the other brings in his variations with the older ball. Ashish Nehra in the last game defended 14 runs in the last over against MS Dhoni and co. , experience counts.
Their leading run scorer David Warner has gone off the track a bit in the last few games. But Shikhar Dhawan has filled in the void, gaining some good form. The batting line up is lifted by the returning Yuvraj Singh. He has played a couple of useful cameos for them. Within touching distance of a final four spot, SRH will now be aiming to finish in the top two.
DD, on the other hand, have gone downhill in the last couple of games losing to RPS and then to KXIP. Prior to that, they had been well led by former Indian International, Zaheer Khan. The Daredevils have won 5 out of 9 games so far. That is the same number of wins they managed in the whole of last year.
The batting has done reasonably well setting up decent totals. Quinton de Kock is the highest run getter for them. He has provided good starts more often than not. Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, Chris Morris and JP Duminy have all chipped in at crucial stages. They might need to look to get more out of Carlos Brathwaite. He possesses extreme power but has been underused as compared to other Caribbean players in the league.
Amit Mishra is the leading wicket taker for them with 10 wickets in 9 matches. With the experience of Zaheer Khan and the pace of Mohammad Shami and Chris Morris, DD do have one of the better bowling line-ups in the tournament. For them now, it is all about converting the strength on paper to on-field performances. DD need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later to make a stronger case to finish in the top 4.
The match will be broadcasted live on SuperSport in Africa, Geo Super in Pakistan, Maasranga in Bangladesh, Set Max and Sony Six in Bhutan, ESPN in the US, and Sky Sports in the UK. The live streaming of the match can also be watched on CricketGateway.com in Australia.
