Stats: AB de Villiers gets to his highest ever score in ODIs; breaks numerous records
Mr. 360, AB de Villiers has played another record-breaking innings and demolished Bangladesh bowlers en route 104-ball-176 in the second ODI of the ongoing series in the African nation.
The former South African captain walked in after Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock had given the team a solid start and amassed 90 runs for the first wicket. Bangladesh's best cricketer Shakib Al Hasan then struck twice in the same over to remove De Kock and Faf du Plessis.
What followed was absolute carnage as De Villiers joined hands with Amla, who missed his century by 15 runs after adding 136 runs with the former for the third wicket. The RCB star was the fourth wicket to fall after SA's tally reached 343 runs.
De Villiers looked all set for a double century, however, lost his wicket with 14 balls left in the innings. The rockstar from Bela-Bela broke numerous records in his 104-ball innings, which comprised of 15 fours and 7 sixes. South Africa set a target of 354 for Bangladesh to chase.
