Stats: Batsmen fastest to 100 sixes in ODIs
The general rule of cricket is to play as per the situation demands but there are some players who know only one type of game and that is to attack. As we have seen many powerful hitters over the years in international cricket like Viv Richards, Sanath Jayasuriya etc. who have changed the definition of the game with their attacking batsmanship.
With the advent of T20 cricket, it is necessary to have at least one power-hitter in the batting lineup, someone who can change the course of the game on his own when needed. Players like Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers have taken that art of hitting to another level over the years because these are the players who can hit sixes at their will and more importantly against any bowler, on any pitch, in any format etc.

These days, different players break different records day after day and the reason for that is very simple, these days the nature of batsmen has changed as they take more risks to score runs quickly.
The latest record that has been broken is that of completing 100 sixes in ODIs in the quickest time and the man who broke that record is the giant West Indies all-rounder – Kieron Pollard. He broke that record in the first match of tri-nation series between West Indies and South Africa played at Guyana on 3 June 2016 by hitting six sixes in the match. He completed his 100 sixes in ODIs in just 86 innings and broke Ross Taylor’s record of hitting 100 sixes in 116 innings.
There are some big players like Brendon McCullum, AB de Villiers, MS Dhoni present in the list as here, we have presented the fastest players to 100 sixes in ODIs.
