Stats: Leading run-scorers in India vs Australia ODIs

India are set to lock horns against Australia at home in a seven-match bilateral ODI series. The visitors have a stunning record against India in India in this format of the game- they have emerged victorious in five of the last six ODI series. A look at this table could explain how Australia managed to have a clear advantage against a team that usually performs well at home.

Four of the top five run-scorers happen to be Australian players, leaving Sachin Tendulkar to be the only Indian on the list. Tendulkar, as he does more often than or not, tops the list by an overwhelming margin. He is followed by none other than Ricky Ponting. No doubt, the upcoming ODI series will be poorer without the presence of these two legends.
