Stats: Best bowling team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 so far
England have been the best bowling side up to semi-final concluded yesterday in terms of wickets taken, with 29. New Zealand, on the other hand, were the best bowling side in the league stage of the Champions Trophy. They took 25 wickets at an average of 21.56 and a strike rate of 26.70.
India also has an equal number of wickets, but at a higher average of 27.80 and strike rate of 33.5. Pakistan to their credit were the most economical bowling side, conceding only 4.48 runs an over in their three allotted matches, while South Africa’s bowling economy of 5.33 was the worst in the competition.
