Stats: Highest individual Test scores by Indians against Kiwis in New Zealand
Former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin heads the list of Indian players with highest individual scores by an Indian against New Zealand at their soil. Mohammad Azharuddin scored 192 runs from 259 balls, which is the highest individual score by an Indian in New Zealand.
Rahul Dravid had scored 190 runs on 2nd January 1999, just two runs short of Mohammad Azharuddin’s record score of 192.
Shikhar Dhawan‘s score of 115 in the first Test against New Zealand at Auckland on 6th February 2014 is the 10th highest individual scores by an Indian against New Zealand at their soil and Dhawan is also the first Indian opener to score a hundred in the fourth innings of a Test match in New Zealand.
